The Musician

He has worked with internationally renowned artists, singers, choirs and orchestras. He can be heard throughout Austria and Europe with his trio, the "OSTstyrian Rhythm Section" as well as with the funk band "Candlelight Ficus", the "Max Kreuzer Octet" and other formations. As a solo artist, he took second place at the international jazz competition in Rome in 2022. In addition to his work as a pianist and keyboardist, he is a composer, lyricist and arranger and as such has written music for plays and television programs. He teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and is a speaker at workshops.

  • Keyboard, accordion and then piano lessons (classical and jazz) at the music school in Birkfeld with Oliver Vrbancic, final examination with distinction and first prize at prima la musica in St. Pölten.

  • First jazz big band concert as a pianist at the age of 13 in front of more than 300 people. Also: First experiences as a "solo entertainer", musical performer and house and court pianist at BORG Birkfeld.

  • Master's degree in history at the University of Graz as well as music education (piano, guitar, singing) and concert subject (Bachelor and Master) for piano jazz (with Prof. Olaf Polziehn) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (all degrees with distinction).

  • - Second prize at the International Jazz Contest in Rome, Italy (2022).

    - Performances at Porgy & Bess Vienna, Jazzfestival Saalfelden, Styriarte, Jazzwerkstatt Graz, Tube's Graz, Royal Garden Jazz Club Graz, Boogie Club Rome and Ornithology Jazz Club in New York.

    - Masterclasses with: Karen Asatrian, Paul Urbanek, Sheila Jordan, Norma Winstone, Harold Mabern, Gwilym Simcock, David Hazeltine, Danilo Pérez, Glenn Zaleski
